Welcome to the Menifee Rides blog! This site was created and is maintained by concerned citizens of Menifee, California, where a reduction in school bus service has created transportation problems for students in a city that is nearly 50 square miles. To get our school children safely to and from school, we need your help.

Please search for the blog thread pertaining to your school and leave us a comment, telling us where you need help or how you CAN help. We need to know where the need exists, and we need volunteers who can provide car rides and/or participate in car pools with other parents.

Safety is a priority, so we ask that you join us in communicating effectively and helping us ensure both confidentiality and security in this community effort. We Need Your Ideas! Post Them Here

Ideas, ideas, ideas! That's what we need! Help us come up with ways to make Menifee Rides the most efficient program possible.

Here's your chance to leave comments with your ideas to organize and improve this system. Should we divide the area up into districts with district representatives to help coordinate the rides? Can we involve the PTA and if so, who are the reps from each school? How can we effectively express concerns to the school district and city while continuing to solve this problem ourselves in the short term?

Remember, this is a sounding board for positive thinking. We're brainstorming for solutions, not providing a space to complain about things. Let's work together to get things done!
